LSE只有一个MPhil in Finance，两年制，但是基本从9月份入学开始就要准备申请PhD了（因为基本上Mphil之后都会读PhD） 个人认为Mphil和phd的区别就相当于master和PGB的区别，一个是学历的称呼，一个是指具体的学习过程。 Mphil全称Master of Philosophy，意思就是硕士阶段的研究方向是哲学类的，比如经济学、政治学这些都属于philosophy范围。而Phd则指的是你的研究是以某种学科为基础的，这个学科可以是philosophy也可以是理科或是工科。不过现在其实很多学校把两者都叫做PhD了，统称doctorate。 总之无论Mphil还是PhD都是研究生毕业文凭，只是获得的方式不一样罢了。
